Warwick University 40th Real Ale Festival

Event from Entertainments

Thursday 14 February 2019, 6.00PM - Friday 15 February 2019, 12.00AM

The Copper Rooms

IT'S BACK! AND IT'S BIGGER THAN EVER! The greatest event to grace the Copper Rooms returns for its 40th year and promises to be bigger, better and with more beer than ever. So mark Thursday 14th February to Saturday 16th February (Week 6) in your diaries. That's right, it's the Warwick University Real Ale Festival, now hosted in both Copper Rooms 1 AND 2!

Boasting over 120 British beers from the Orkneys to the South Coast and all places in between, it's more than enough to keep any man, woman or child with a fake ID entertained. So consider our selection of over 50 ciders, fruit wines and world beers an added bonus. Add onto that entertainment in the form of the outrageous Victorian Pub Pianist Dr Busker, plus sets from our very own Warwick Big Band and a very special guest, Joaquim Cabral & The Soulsquad! Whilst Dr Busker and Big Band have been festival favourites for years, Joaquim is a former contestant on The Voice Portugal and will be bringing his fusion of jazz and soul-influenced rock to the Copper Rooms for the very first time!

Not only this, but for the very first time ever, the WURAS Collaboration bar will be in held in Rouge Bar hosting no less than NINE beers that we at the society have made with some of our favourite local breweries! As a result of this, we have moved CIDER and WINE upstairs to COPPER ROOMS 2 and spread it out over more bars for you all to get served your favourite drinks quicker and easier!

Food will once again be provided by Lazy Pig, who will be serving up hog roasts, pork rolls and vegetarian sausages. And for all you teetotalers and designated drivers, we haven't forgotten about you. We've got a fully stocked Soft Drinks Bar plus non-alcoholic beers.

So come along for good beer, good company and what's sure to be the highlight of the SU calendar!

6pm - Late each night.
Open to students and the general public alike.

£3.50 entry, cash only.
Free entry to CAMRA members on Saturday
