The Student Union is excited to present the Diwali Project, a vibrant and inclusive celebration forming part of Warwick University's One World Warwick events programme. This initiative brings together students from diverse backgrounds to celebrate the Festival of Lights, fostering cultural awareness and inclusivity across campus.
The Diwali Project will offer a platform for students to share their cultural experiences, traditions, and values, promoting mutual understanding and respect. Through interactive workshops, performances, and collaborative activities, this celebration enhances cross-cultural dialogue and strengthens community bonds within the university.

Diwali Celebration (11:00 - 16:00):
Celebrate Diwali on the Piazza with live DJ sets and Bollywood performances! Enjoy the festive atmosphere, dance, and connect with students from all around the world.
Creative Diwali Workshops (12:00 - 13:00, Copper Rooms):
Get creative with three hands-on workshops:
- Paint Your Own Diya: Decorate a traditional oil lamp, symbolising light overcoming darkness during Diwali.
- Rangoli Art: Learn how to create intricate Rangoli designs, a tradition to welcome prosperity during the festival.
- Create Your Own Diwali Card: Craft personalised cards to share Diwali wishes with friends and family.
Plus, enjoy delicious Indian sweets while you celebrate! Whether you want to dance, create, or learn, this event offers something for everyone, while deepening your understanding of the diverse communities at Warwick.
