Event Description

Warwick Student Cinema: FREE FOR MEMBERS: Finding Nemo (35mm)

Event from Warwick Student Cinema

Tuesday 24 June 2025, 7.30PM - Tuesday 24 June 2025, 9.30PM

L3

Come see Finding Nemo presented in 35mm Projection on the big screen in L3!

Coming off the coattails of Monsters Inc. released two years prior, Finding Nemo is reminiscent of golden era Disney Pixar for a 2000’s baby. An emotional soundtrack, beautiful animation, and a grippingly moving storyline make for one of the best family films out there. Marlin’s tragedy of coming-to, accepting that he lost his wife and (essentially unborn) kids, all in the opening scene, was an outstandingly child-friendly depiction of grief and a true explanation of why Marlin is the way that he is. If you somehow haven't seen this film yet, then what's stopping you from ending your Term 3 with our free for members last showing of the academic year (honestly guys, the membership pays for itself!)? And if you have seen this gem before, then WSC is projecting this amazing movie for you on 35mm film; a rare experience in our very own L3. On one last note, let's be real, if Gill wasn’t your childhood crush then you're lying to yourself (who can resist that sultry Willem Dafoe voice?). [Holly Beaumont]

Wait! Are you buying a Non-Members ticket? Do you have SocsFed?

Then get yourself a WSC membership instead! It's £4 and it comes with a free film (so it's the same price as your non-members ticket!), plus you'll get a load of extra benefits, including Free For Members screenings, discounted tickets for the rest of the year, voting rights, early notice of our events, and the option to join our crew!
