Event Description

Warwick Student Cinema: St. Trinian's

Event from Warwick Student Cinema

Tuesday 04 November 2025, 7.30PM - Tuesday 04 November 2025, 9.30PM

L3

Come see St. Trinian's presented with 35mm Projection on the big screen in L3!

When Annabelle Fritton (Talulah Riley), a rather sheltered schoolgirl from a prestigious school, has to transfer to the crazy St. Trinian’s boarding school, things are as unsavoury as they could get. The school defies everything an institution should stand for, with a fully functioning vodka distillery, the alcohol from which can fully KO a grown adult (Colin Firth, in case you’re curious). As Annabelle gets used to St. Trinian’s, she develops a soft spot for her aunt, the headmistress Carmilla Fritton (Rupert Everett). Incidentally, Rupert Everett, in a double role, also plays Annabelle’s father, Carnaby Fritton.

The best thing about St. Trinian’s is that it’s a thoroughly entertaining but wild ride. Erratic schoolgirls across cliques, crazy teachers, a heist and a steamy romance plot between Everett and Firth’s characters give way to an experience that’s truly enjoyable. To top it all off, the St. Trinian’s anthem is one of the catchiest songs, and this film has an excellent playlist in general! [Naomi Pandey]
