Come see Some Like it Hot presented with stunning 4k laser projection on the big screen in L3!

In this Billy Wilder film, starring Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis, and, of course, Marliyn Monroe, which follows Joe and Jerry, two jazz musicians who witness a mobster commit murder and flee to escape the same fate. To do this they disguise themselves as women, adopting the names Josephine and Daphne, and join an all female band called Sweet Sue and her Society Syncopators, where they encounter Sugar Kane, a singer played by Marliyn Monroe. Some Like it Hot is often considered the greatest comedy of all time, alongside the greatest final line of all time all while being surprisingly progressive for a film released in 1959 in its exploration of gender and sexuality. Endlessly funny and witty, it is a film which will certainly brighten up an evening otherwise spent monotonously studying. [Aidan White]
